LEEDS HALF MARATHON – CORPORATE CHALLENGE

A team from Pearson Jones raised nearly £1,600 for Yorkshire Cancer Research in the Corporate Challenge of the Leeds Half Marathon on Sunday 9th May.

Representing Pearson Jones were Vicki Rundle from HR, Luke Mollkin from Financial Planning, Tony Padgett and Stuart Young from The Skipton Pearson Jones SIPP team, Tony Decunha a senior Financial Planning Consultant and Peter Heckingbottom, Investment Director & Deputy Managing Director.

The individuals had the somewhat straightforward task of running 2-mile legs, passing a baton to the next runner and ended with Tony Decunha, with the glory stretch of 3 miles back into Leeds City Centre. The other Tony had been celebrating Leeds United’s success in their promotion to the Championship the previous night and had just 3 hours sleep!!

Nevertheless, the time of 1 hour 55 minutes was 7 minutes quicker than the previous year. Additionally, our fund raising was dramatically in excess of the £277 we raised in 2009.
